Bio:

John Freitas, MA, The New School, Adjunct Professor; former Film Program Advisor and program coordinator; Dept. of Media Studies and Film, The New School; over 20 years of teaching experience in cinema studies, production and screenwriting; created numerous courses exploring such topics as American and International cinemas of horror, technology and science fiction, and the comedies of Ernst Lubitsch and Preston Sturges; teaches film production, film aesthetics and screenwriting at Hofstra University; taught screenwriting at Pratt Institute; interviewed about various film topics by the NY Daily News, NY SUN, Diversity Inc., MSNBC and BRAVO Television; former development analyst for Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures; as screenwriter has sold screenplays to Dustin Hoffman, Hakalax & Mandrake Productions, Finland, Canal + - producer Vincent Maraval (City of God), and legendary independent producer Edward R. Pressman (Badlands, Reversal of Fortune, Thank You for Smoking).
