IDEAS Institute Goals

• To facilitate close interaction between Hofstra researchers in the natural sciences, computer science, engineering and education;
• To raise the visibility and understanding of scientific and technological advances for the public and the professional education community;
• To participate actively in undergraduate and graduate education at Hofstra, with the goal of promoting links between the scientific and education constituents, creating enhanced research opportunities for student in the natural sciences and students in education;
• To establish professional development workshops and courses for teachers who seek to enhance their understanding in the sciences and integrate cutting-edge technology in their teaching;
• To house research and evaluation for science and technology-related, grant funded projects.
