Hofstra Opera Theater Presents Gilbert & Sullivan's "Princess Ida"
February 1-3, 2013, John Cranford Adams Playhouse
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY … Will Princess Ida's refusal to give her hand in marriage ignite war between two kingdoms? Or will she succumb and risk derailing the future of women's independence?
Gilbert and Sullivan's comic opera, Princess Ida, calls into question the differences between men and women and the topsy-turvy impact of evolution.
Show times for Hofstra Opera Theater's production of Princess Ida are Friday and Saturday, February 1 and 2, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, February 3, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15, $12 for senior citizens and non-Hofstra students. Members of the Hofstra community receive one free ticket upon upon presentation of a current HofstraCard.
