HOFSTRA DEPARTMENT OF FINE ARTS AND ART HISTORY OPENS STUDENT-RUN GALLERY

FEBRUARY 13 TO 24, 2008: JOE CAP ART SHOW; OPENING RECEPTION, FEBRUARY 13 AT 11:15 A.M.

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY … An art exhibition by Hofstra senior Joe Capriglione will be on display at the student-run gallery in Calkins Hall, sponsored by Hofstra’s Department of Fine Arts and Art History. FORM, the name of the student group that runs the gallery, chooses the exhibitions and hosts the opening receptions.

Joe Capriglione is majoring in film production and film studies and minoring in fine arts. He says, “I am drawn to art by my passion for film.  I currently make music videos and paint as much as I can.  All my works represent a period in my life, and inspirational materials. I look forward to sharing my pieces and hope everyone comes to check it out. Mixed media, and all works are paint and graffiti styled selects.”

There will be an opening reception for Joe’s exhibition on Wednesday, February 13, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. (Common Hour).
