Class to Give HS Students Graphic Design Experience
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY … Hofstra University’s Department of Fine Arts/Art History is offering a free four-hour Design Workshop on Saturday, March 24, 2012, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., led by Professor Tom Klinkowstein at Calkins Hall, located on Hofstra’s South Campus.
The goal of this workshop is to give high school students who are considering pursuing a degree in fine arts the experience the experience of a college-level studio class.
The workshop will consist of short presentations by current and former Hofstra students working in graphic and new media design, lunch and a short workshop assignment in our graphic/new media design computer lab.
All those attending will receive a certificate attesting to their participation. One participant will receive a "first prize" certificate for the most successful workshop results.

• Steve Gianaca, Motion Design, Bravo Network
• Corie Kuperferberg, current Hofstra honors student, Design major
• Emily Miethner, Community Manager, RecordSetter, Founder & President, NY Creative Interns
