Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Hofstra Concerts presents an evening of traditional Celtic music by internationally renowned Irish-American group Cherish The Ladies on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 7 p.m. at John Cranford Adams Playhouse, south campus. 

Praised as “Best Musical Group of the Year” by the BBC and “Entertainment Group of the Year” by the Irish Voice Newspaper, Cherish The Ladies have shared the stage with James Taylor, Joan Baez, and Emmylou Harris, delivering energetic performances that leave audiences mesmerized.

Named for a traditional Irish jig, the group initially won recognition as the first and only all-women traditional Irish band. With their unique blend of virtuoso instrumental talents, beautiful vocals, captivating arrangements and stunning step dancing, this group combines all the facets of Irish traditional culture in  a humorous and entertaining package.
