2008 Student Art Show Presented by Hofstra University's Fine Arts Department

April 30 to May 8

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY … See more than 300 works in painting, drawing, ceramics, 3-D, photography, design and new media at the opening of the Fine Arts Student Art Show at Calkins Hall on Hofstra's South Campus. The show opens (with free music and refreshments) at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2008. The works of art will remain on view until Thursday, May 8.

Noted graphic artist Jennifer Magee, senior associate and project director for Architecture Grid2 and co-founder and CEO of UPworld.com (a professional on-line networking site for design, architecture and building) will serve as the outside judge for this year's student art show. Ms. Magee has judged previous Hofstra student shows.
