2010 Student Art Show Presented by Hofstra University's Fine Arts Department

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY … See hundreds of works in painting, drawing, ceramics, 3-D, photography, design and new media at the opening of the Fine Arts Student Art Show at Calkins Hall on Hofstra's South Campus. The show opens (with free music and refreshments) at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2010.

The Fine Arts Student Art Show will remain on view until Monday, May 10, 2010.

Painter and Art Critic Mario Naves will serve as the outside judge for this year’s student art show. Mario Naves, a painter and art critic, writes about art for CityArts. Previously, he was the art critic for The New York Sun and The New York Observer. He has taught painting at several institutions, including the Ringling College of Art and Design, in Sarasota, Florida. He is represented by Elizabeth Harris Gallery in New York.
