“Larry and Joe are highly accomplished business leaders, and we are proud to be able to honor them at this year’s outing,” said Alan Kelly, Hofstra’s Vice President for Development. “Specifically, Larry and WDF have provided scholarship assistance for many of our students. Both Larry and Joe are staunch believers in education, and as such they have welcomed the opportunity to help raise scholarship dollars through this outing.”

WDF Inc., New York's largest plumbing and HVAC contractor, reported revenues of $270 million for 2007. WDF's place in New York construction is centered in such prestigious projects as the Time Warner Building, Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Center, Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden, the Seven World Trade Center Building and the Goldman Sachs Building.

Larry Roman, an alumnus of Hofstra, and WDF Inc. have been very generous and supportive of the University over the years. Mr. Roman established annual scholarships for the past three years that have benefited more than 70 undergraduate and graduate students. He and WDF Inc. also supported a study abroad program which provided supplemental funds for undergraduates to travel overseas.

Over his 40-year career, Joseph LoCurto has served as president of Slattery Skanska, Gottlieb
Skanska and Atlantic Skanska. His projects have included the restoration of Yankee Stadium, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Brooklyn Bridge.

Mr. LoCurto's accomplishments in the areas of heavy public works brought him to WDF Inc. to continue work for The New York Transit Authority, the Department of Environmental Protection, the Department of Transportation, the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, the New York City Department of Design and Construction, and the New York City School Construction Authority. He is considered one of the leading builders in the New York metropolitan area.
