Charlie Kaye, Executive Producer for News at CBS Radio, to speak at Hofstra University
Hofstra, WRHU alumnus will talk about the impact of college radio
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Charlie Kaye, executive producer for news at CBS Radio and an alumnus of Hofstra University and WRHU, Radio Hofstra University, will speak at Hofstra on Monday, September 17, 2007 in Studio A of Dempster Hall, south campus beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The program, presented by the Hofstra Radio Alumni Association, is the first in a series of radio industry speakers leading up to the 50th anniversary of WRHU, Radio Hofstra University, in 2009.
“Charlie is a key member of the WHCH/WVHC/WRHU family of distinguished alumni,” said Hofstra Radio Alumni Association president, Marc Wiener, referring to the original call letters by which the station was known. “His broadcasting career began the moment he walked through the front door of Hofstra's radio station, and continues to this day. His return to Hofstra is an event not to be missed, especially by 88.7 alumni, who will find this connection with their shared past both fascinating and invigorating.”
Mr. Kaye will participate in a question-and-answer period with a panel of student staff members from WRHU and will then take questions from audience members.
This event is free and open to all members of the Hofstra community. For more information, please call 516.463.5430 or email hraa@hofstra.edu.
