Hofstra Hosts A Nassau County Executive Debate October 27
A Tri-Party Debate Put on by the League of Women Voters
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY - Hofstra's Department of Political Science and The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) in conjunction with the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Nassau County will host a debate between the three candidates running for Nassau County Executive on October 27, 2009. The debate will be held at the Student Center Theater, North Campus from 7 - 9 p.m. Selected political science and CCE students will assist with running the debate.
The League of Women Voters has invited Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi (Democrat), Nassau County Legislator Edward P. Mangano (Republican) and Nassau County Consumer Affairs General Council Steven Hansen (Conservative) to speak during this forum. Nassau County citizens are encouraged to attend and submit questions to the LWV during the debate. Campaign signs are restricted on the premises.
