Hofstra launches LiveLink live TV feed
Experts can appear live on cable, network TV shows on short notice without leaving the campusHofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Hofstra University has launched LiveLink, a new live TV feed that will allow Hofstra faculty and administrators to comment as experts on local and national TV news and talk shows when there is no time, or need, to travel into Manhattan to a network or cable TV studio.
LiveLink, located in Hofstra’s School of Communication, will offer TV producers and bookers the ability to tap into the Hofstra faculty’s expertise in business, law, presidential politics, immigration, economics, education, media, religion, the arts and more for news and talk shows.
The Office of University Relations, which also maintains an online and a printed list of Hofstra experts, stands ready to assist the media in identifying Hofstra faculty members to comment on breaking news, trends or features.
Please call any of the University Relations, Law School or Athletic Department staff for help setting up an interview with a Hofstra expert or go to our Online Expert Guide at:
For technical questions on the LiveLink fiber optic system, please call Joe Valerio, Hofstra's chief video engineer, at 516-463-5212.
