Scott Skodnek Business Development Center "Achieve the Winning Edge" Seminar

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Local business owners will learn how to grow their businesses while attending the "Achieve the Winning Edge" seminar sponsored by the Business Development Center on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Hofstra University Club, David S. Mack Hall, North Campus.

During the seminar lead by guest speaker Scott Nicholson, president and founder of Xtraordinary Home Products, Inc., participants will learn how to carve a niche for customers, create new and compelling products, develop innovative business strategies, satisfy customer service needs and review overhead expenses.

Scott Nicholson started the Bohemia-based company in 2006 and grew gross revenue 800 percent in just one year. He prides his company, which develops, manufactures and markets kitchenware and house ware products, on dynamic innovation and developing cutting-edge products that WOW his customers. Most recently, Xtraordinary Home Products, Inc. launched the industry’s most exciting and innovative bake ware line — Slice Solutions baking pans — which sold out in a record three minutes on QVC. His clients include Avon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Costco, Kmart, Linens ‘n Things, and Wal-Mart. Mr. Nicholson recently published book, The Seeds of Achievement, is a “roadmap” on how to obtain success, prosperity and life harmony.

The Scott Skodnek Business Development Center is a multidisciplinary center offering human and technological resources for business support and education, as well as community service.
