Hofstra University Announces Continuing Education Courses for Spring 2008

Including Unique Programs Like Web Design and Development and Gaming and Digital Film Production

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University’s Center for Continuing Education and Professional Advancement (CCEPA) announces its Spring 2008 semester, including several new and dynamic continuing education programs and courses.

In today's work force continuous learning is not an option, but a necessity. The rapid pace of professional development and newly created jobs requires individuals to continually update their skills and knowledge to remain employable. CCEPA has responded to this growing demand for career-related curricula with programs delivered at times, and in locations, convenient to working adults.

Hofstra’s CCEPA offers a broad range of professional development programs in information technology, business and management, legal and premedical studies, and other areas for both certification and credit toward academic degrees. Almost all CCEPA programs are geared toward individuals with prior work experience.

Web Design and Development, Gaming and Digital Film Production, Legal Studies, Special Education Advocacy, Certified Financial Planning, Real Estate, and Insurance Studies, are just a few of the exciting courses offered this spring.

Several new programs and courses have also been added to the CCEPA roster, including Digital Video Production, Business Continuity, Back Office Procedures in a Medical Office, Financial Planning Assistant, and certificate programs in Disaster and Emergency Management and Pharmacy Technician. Legal Nurse Consulting and Social Entrepreneurship are the two new online programs that have been added.

CCEPA will host a number of free information sessions and special events this spring. For more information about all of CCEPA’s programs, courses, and free events, or to request or download a copy of CCEPA’s Spring 2008 Course Guide, visit ccepa.hofstra.edu or call (516) 463-7200.
