Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y. – Professor Jean-Paul Rodrigue, whose research focuses on economic and transportation geography and trade issues, has been recognized for his expertise by the World Economic Forum, which has appointed him to its Global Agenda Council on Advanced Manufacturing 2011.
Dr. Rodrigue, a Global Studies and Geography professor, will serve a one-year term on the council, which brings together leading experts from business, government and education to generate creative ideas to tackle the increasingly complex challenges of post-industrial global manufacturing. The panel will act as an advisory group to the World Economic Forum, and participate in the 2011 Summit on the Global Agenda in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in October.
