Marketing Boot Camp

Marketing Expert Mitch Tobol Leads Four-Session Workshop

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY --   The Scott Skodnek Business Development Center is hoting a four-day Marketing Boot Camp beginning Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 that is designed to assist small and mid-sized businesses to develop innovative marketing plans using traditional and social media.

The boot camp will be led by Mitch Tobol, who has more than 25 years marketing experience and is a partner in CGT Marketing, a New York and Long Island ad agency. The boot camp will run evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 6, Aug. 8, Aug. 13 and Aug. 15, 2012 in Room 205, C.V. Starr Hall, South Campus. The cost of the boot camp is $495. Advanced registration is required and space is limited.

Among the topics that will be covered: discovering the right strategy, assessing your marketplace and maximizing your budget; developing a clear marketing message and direction; social media, banner ads and search engine optimization; developing a five-step plan to improve your marketing.

Scott Skodnek Business Development Center offers a comprehensive package of expertise and services promoting economic development and job creation for the Hofstra community, Long Island and the region.  The BDC’s focus is providing resources, training and development for business including the EAP Program and Operation Downtown seminars to enhance the skills of business owners.  Training in QuickBooks and social media skills including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Email are also offered.   Customized projects are created to support businesses, organizations and government agencies.
