NY Mets Great Bud Harrelson and ‘The Birth of the Long Island Ducks’

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Former New York Mets player and coach Bud Harrelson will discuss "The Birth of Long Island Ducks Baseball" at Hofstra University on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 8-10 a.m., in the latest Operation Downtown Seminar co-sponsored by the Scott Skodnek Business Development Center and Astoria Federal Savings.

Harrelson, co-owner and senior vice president of baseball for the Ducks, will share his experiences founding and building the Long Island Ducks, and offer insight about bringing a business to Long Island.  Harrelson won two World Series with the Mets, the first as shortstop in 1969 and the second as a coach in 1986.
The event will be held at the Hofstra University Club, David S. Mack Hall, North Campus.  The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and reservations are required.
