Why did you pick your major?
I want to have an impact in cancer research, especially since cancer is a growing epidemic affecting more and more families each year.

Why did you pick Hofstra?
Hofstra is a very prestigious, mid-sized school with a beautiful campus right outside of NYC.

Internships? Please list.
Spring 2012 – PR/Marketing with Music for Tomorrow, Inc.
Summer 2012 – PR with Kohan Communications
Fall 2012 – Social Media with Happily Ever BorroWED

Favorite campus activity:
Working out at the Hofstra Fitness Center

Why?
Health and fitness are a big part of my life, plus the amazing people who work there make the experience even more enjoyable!

What have you found as your “Purpose?”
I have found my purpose to be inspiring people to become the best possible version of themselves that they can be.

Favorite class/professor:
Chemistry with Dr. William Nirode

Why?
Not only is he a great professor, he tells the funniest chemistry jokes too!

Favorite thing about NY/Long Island
The suburban “feel” and being so close to NYC.  I’ve lived outside large cities my entire life, so I feel right at home here.

Favorite campus eatery:
Bits and Bytes

Favorite campus spot:
The Fitness Center

What surprised you about Hofstra?
How helpful the faculty and administration are.

What is your idea of success in 5 years?  Or in 20 years?
In 5 years, I want to be a successful medical school student.
In 20 years, I want to be a successful pediatric oncologist.

Best Hofstra memory:
Move-in day my freshman year.  Meeting my new roommate was so much fun!

Favorite (short) Hofstra story:
I was selected to go to the 2012 Presidential Debate at Hofstra, but we weren’t notified until the morning of, so I had to shower and get ready in a half hour in order to be there in time for the security portion.  It was the fastest I have ever gotten ready for anything!

What do you take the most “Pride” in:
I take the most pride in what I am accomplishing here at Hofstra, being far from home, and my successes and future thanks to my education and experience.  I also take pride in being part of my own Hofstra “legacy” following in my mother’s footsteps (who is a ’91 alumni).

What have you found as your “Purpose?”
I have found my purpose to be inspiring people to become the best possible version of themselves that they can be. Whether it is at the Hofstra Fitness Center inspiring other to get active, or in the classroom inspiring other to find their passions and do all they can do while they have all the opportunities to achieve here at Hofstra.
