Beginning at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, Hofstra University is converting our current email system from Novell GroupWise to Microsoft Outlook and Exchange. This change will affect all faculty, administrative and staff email accounts. We ask you to be patient as we convert and synchronize several thousand email, calendar and address book accounts.

While most of the conversion will take place overnight on November 4, full server conversion will not be complete for 24 - 48 hours. There may be intermittent delays in email delivery or PDA or software conversions.

If you are a member of the Hofstra faculty, staff or administration, you can continue to access your email throughout the conversion through the Hofstra portal (my.hofstra.edu) or through the email.hofstra.edu site. If you are using the Novell GroupWise icon on your home computer, you may want to download Outlook to your home computer. This will be available by Thursday, November 5, in the MyApps section on the Hofstra portal.
