West Pedestrian Bridge Opening

The University is pleased to announce the new West Pedestrian Bridge will be open for use tomorrow morning, Tuesday, April 17th, at 8:00 a.m.

The University encourages students, faculty and staff to utilize the bridge to enhance personal safely while crossing the Hempstead Turnpike and Oak Street intersection.

All remaining project work is scheduled to be performed after the University's spring semester, including cosmetic painting of the concrete structure and installation of curtain glass entranceways.

Please note - the bridge elevators will remain out of service until the project is completed. Any individual requiring assistance to cross Hempstead Turnpike may contact Public Safety at 463-6606.
