Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY … The Gray Wig presents the beloved classic songs of Harold Arlen at the Hofstra University John Cranford Adams Playhouse, Saturday, April 13, at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m. This is the Gray Wig’s eighth annual concert paying tribute to classic American music, performed by some of the best singers and musicians in the Long Island area.

A master composer, Harold Arlen wrote more than 500 songs that have become synonymous with the American Songbook. Among those that will be performed at this concert are Ac-cent-tchu-ate the Positive, Get Happy, Stormy Weather, Come Rain or Come Shine, One for My Baby (and One for the Road), The Man That Got Away, and Somewhere Over the Rainbow.


Tickets: $28; $25 senior citizen (65+); $20 matriculated non-Hofstra student; $20 group rate (10+); $15 with current HofstraCard (one ticket per HofstraCard).
