Integrating Technology into the Curriculum, 22-Session Workshop for Education Professionals
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY - The Office of Professional Development in the School of Education, Health and Human Services is hosting a 22-session workshop for education professionals titled; "Integrating Technology into the Curriculum" on Friday, December 11, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Hagedorn Hall, South Campus. These workshops will be conducted by well-established educators and administrators throughout Long Island.
This conference is for K-8 teachers and administrators interested in the practical classroom applications of using technology, specifically smart board technology and Web 2.0, in all curriculum areas. Included in the workshops will be presentations on podcasting, digital story-telling, one-to-one computing and video conferencing.
Hagedorn Hall is a technology-rich learning and teaching facility with smart boards in all classrooms. Please visit Hofstra.edu/educationworkshops to register or for more information. The Office of Professional Development will host its next workshop on January 13, 2010, titled; A Legal Clinic - A Survey of Educational Law Topics, which will discuss technologies impacts on schools, such as facebook, sexting and social networking.
