Hofstra Entertainment Inaugurates a Brand New Musical Review - "Political Notes"
Conceived by Bob Spiotto; Directed and Choreographed by Amy Dolan Fletcher; Musical direction by John Farrell
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY … Hofstra Entertainment is presenting the world premiere of a politically correct musical review, Political Notes, at Monroe Lecture Center Theater, located on Hofstra’s South Campus, off of California Avenue. Performances are weekends, January 9 to 25, 2009, 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.
Tickets are $25, $23 for senior citizens (over 65), $15 for matriculated non-Hofstra students with ID and $10 for children under 12. Members of the Hofstra community may purchase up to two tickets for $10 each upon presentation of a current HofstraCard.
Political Notes features musical selections from many popular shows, including Fiorello!, The Will Rogers Follies, Mr. President, Annie, Merrily We Roll Along, All American, First Lady Suite, Tintypes, Call Me Madam, Big River, I’d Rather Be Right, Pins and Needles, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Assassins, and Li’l Abner. Also mixed in is a little School House Rock and songs by George M. Cohan and Oscar Brand.
