Operation Downtown Seminar Teaches How To Successfully Market Using Social Media

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Hofstra University’s Scott Skodnek Business Development Center presents a free Operation Downtown Seminar entitled Developing Social Media Marketing Strategies on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 8 – 10 a.m. in the Hofstra University Club, David S. Mack Hall, north campus.Funded by a grant from New York State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, these seminars provide small business owners and entrepreneurs from Nassau, Suffolk and Queens an opportunity to hear informative and experienced speakers at no charge. Past presentations included "Successful Business Strategies", "Develop Powerful Selling Techniques" and "Key Components of Successful Marketing.
“These free Operation Downtown seminars began in October 2004 and address topics of interest to business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs”, said Richard V. Guardino, Jr., Vice President for Business Development at Hofstra University.
The seminar will be presented by Mitch Tobol a partner at CGT Marketing, LLC, an innovative marketing agency focused on helping companies achieve their goals through the intelligent use of traditional and social media. He has assisted more than 500 businesses in developing and improving their marketing strategies over the past 30 years.
Attendees of the seminar will learn skills for integrating social media into marketing, understanding the myths and truths of social media marketing, developing key tactics for success in the digital age, and using Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, and search engine optimization and e-mail marketing.
