HOFSTRA'S BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER OFFERS CERTIFICATES IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP, QUICKBOOKS

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY - Hofstra's Scott Skodnek Business Development Center is offering certificate programs in the basics of Entrepreneurship and the Quickbooks accounting software program.

The Entrepreneurship Certificate Program will explore the opportunity of starting and expanding your own business. Workshops will provide participants with the nuts-and-bolts skills required to operate and grow a successful business. Participants will also receive training and counseling that will enable them to complete a business plan.

The Entrepreneurship workshops will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, March 19 through May 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Business Development Center Room 245. The program fee is $495.

The QuickBooks Certificate Program, Manage Your Business More Effectively! will be offered in four sessions on Tuesdays, April 17 & 24 and May 1 & 8.  Training will enable participants to manage their businesses more efficiently by learning to create a new QuickBooks company, invoice customers, set up inventory, track and pay sales tax, and more.

The workshops will be held in the Business Development Center Room 245.  The program fee $250.00.

The Scott Skodnek Business Development Center is a multidisciplinary center offering human and technological resources for business support and education, as well as community service. It also supports government agencies in their own endeavors and in their efforts to assist businesses in the metropolitan area.
