HOFSTRA CELEBRATES ANNUAL WELLNESS WEEK

Dating Advice, Drug Prevention, Exercise Health Awareness, Stress Management, Body Image

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY -   Hofstra University's 7th Annual Wellness Week, a week devoted to showing students how to be happy in their own skin, features seminars focused on dating, exercise, stress management, body image, breaking-up, the lesbian and gay community, and drug prevention.

"Wellness week programs provide students both information and the opportunity to discuss with one another healthy decision making strategies," said Sandra Johnson, Vice President of Student Affairs.  "With these types of programs we are looking to speak to student interests in learning more about current social and health related issues."

The 7th Annual Wellness Week is sponsored by Hofstra’s Office of Student Affairs in conjunction with the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services and events will take place Monday, March 26 through Friday, March 30, 2007 at Hofstra.
