The Socratic Panel is unique in that the audience learns how to effectively respond to a crisis by observing a panel of experienced professionals in action. The program moderator is Richard Torrenzano, chief executive of The Torrenzano Group, a global expert in crisis communications. He will provide an opening keynote address on crisis communications, and then lead the discussion by describing a crisis to which panelists react.
The specific topic for the discussion is related to recent news events and is a surprise to the panel, so that the panelists’ responses are spontaneous and authentic. This process allows the audience to see all the different roles people play within a corporation, the types of questions they ask, the kind of processes they employ, and how they interact. No other forum provides this degree of insight to an audience.
Panelists include notables who hold, or have held, senior positions in their organizations:
The CEO - Thomas S. Johnson, Retired Chairman and CEO
