Frank G. Zarb School of Business Students Take Top Honors at National and International Competitions
American Advertising Federation’s National Student Advertising Case Competition & International Intercollegiate Conference
Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York –The Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University’s students took top honors at both the American Advertising Federation’s National Student Advertising Case Competition and the American Marketing Association’s International Intercollegiate Conference.
Students in the Advertising Case Competition class were charged with developing a $100 million, fully integrated yearlong campaign to attract female shoppers’ ages 25-34 as part of the JC Penney sponsored American Advertising Federation’s National Student Advertising Case Competition. The students personally presented their campaign to advertising, media and JC Penney judges, and took top honors in their district comprising of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia. Besides winning first place in the overall competition for their district, the students also were awarded Best Strategic Plan and Best Creative Plan. The team now travels to San Diego on June 2 for the national competition.
Students in the Hofstra University Chapter of the American Marketing Association received a number of awards at their International Intercollegiate Conference in March in New Orleans. The club received awards for Nintendo Case Competition Semi-Finalist, Outstanding Chapter Planning, 3rd Place Exhibit: Best Communication of Chapter Activities, Outstanding Community Service and Outstanding Chapter Communications.
