Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Undergraduate Research Day will give 23 student presenters the opportunity to share their research in Philosophy, English, Speech Language-Hearing Science, Chemistry, Biology, Political Science and Spanish with the Hofstra community. This event will take place Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 9:15 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the West Plaza Room, Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center, North Campus.

"Undergraduate Research Day is conceived as an opportunity for Hofstra students to report the results to the University community,” said Warren Frisina, Dean of the Honors College.  “Research accomplishes little if it is not shared.  We want Hofstra students to see their work in that context.  Research is about discovery and dissemination."

This day-long program includes three sessions consisting of individual presentations, along with a poster session where several presenters will discuss their work simultaneously. Please visit hofstra.edu/researchday for a complete list of presenters and titles.  This event has been in place since the spring of 2002 and is open to the Hofstra community.
