Milton Cooper to Speak at Hofstra University’s Wilbur F. Breslin Center for Real Estate Studies Luncheon

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Milton Cooper, executive chairman of Kimco Realty Corporation, will be the keynote speaker at the Fourth Annual Institute of Real Estate Luncheon hosted by the Wilbur F. Breslin Center for Real Estate Studies on Thursday, June 15, 2010 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Hofstra University Club, David S. Mack Hall, North Campus.

Mr. Cooper is the executive chairman of Kimco Realty Corporation, a real estate investment trust (REIT) that owns and operates North America's largest portfolio of neighborhood and community shopping centers; and a founding member of Kimco. He is also a director of Getty Realty Corp and Blue Ridge Real Estate/Big Boulder Corporation, a public company owning 20,000 acres of land and ski facilities in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Cooper is a former trustee of MassMutual Corporate Investors and MassMutual Participation Investors; former chairman of the board of governors of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts; former chairman of the Shopping Center Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York; and former trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

The luncheon fee is $100 per person.  Luncheon sponsorships are also available at $300. Sponsors will be recognized in the formal program and at the event.

The Wilbur F. Breslin Center for Real Estate Studies is an interdisciplinary center which brings together the expertise and resources of Hofstra’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business, the School
 of Law and the Institute of Real Estate at Hofstra University.  The Center provides real estate professionals, municipal officials, developers and the public with information, education and scholarly analysis about complex issues important in the real estate field.
