Outlet Developer Steven Tanger to Address Hofstra Institute of Real Estate Luncheon

Topic is: "Factory Outlets - The New Channel of Distribution"

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Steven Tanger, president and chief operating officer of Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc., will be the keynote speaker at an Institute of Real Estate at Hofstra luncheon on Thursday, June 14, 2007 from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the Rochelle and Irwin A. Lowenfeld Conference and Exhibition Hall, 10th floor, Joan and Donald E. Axinn Library, south campus.

The topic of his speech will be Factory Outlets – The New Channel of Distribution. Tickets to the luncheon are $100 per person, of which half is tax deductible. Seating is limited. For tickets and information, call Theresa M. Haller at (516) 463-4069 by June 7, 2007.

Mr. Tanger’s responsibilities include supervision of and hands-on involvement in long-term strategic planning, investor relations, capital markets, site selection, land and shopping center acquisition, project development, leasing and construction. While carrying forth a 90-year tradition of family-owned businesses, Mr. Tanger is putting his own signature on Tanger Factory Outlet Center’s future. Steven and his father, Stanley Tanger, have expanded Tanger Outlet Centers to 35 centers in 22 states, totaling nearly 9.3 million square feet.

The company has more than 410 employees and a total enterprise value of approximately $2.2 billion. In 1994, Tanger Factory Outlet Centers was awarded the Value Retail News Award of Excellence for Outlet Development, signifying the company’s position as the industry’s leading developer. Mr. Tanger was recently featured on CNBC’s Money Talk. He speaks extensively to REIT and real estate industry groups across the country, and has served on many professional, charitable and philanthropic boards. He was honored by the American Cancer Society.
