Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY ... Hofstra University’s Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic at the Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center is offering “Caring for Caregivers,” a four-week workshop for men and women in caregiving roles.

This program will run on four consecutive Thursday evenings, beginning July 26, 2007, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Research shows that approximately 44 million Americans care for people who are ill or disabled. More than one third of caregivers in the United States provide care for others despite being in poor health themselves. This workshop will help caregivers to:

• Better cope with their situation
• Offer useful tips to minimize stress
• Provide group discussion and support

The fee is $15.00 per session.
