Entrepreneurial Assistance Session to be Offered by Business Development Center
Free "Nuts and Bolts" Information Session on October 1, 2008
Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York – Start, restructure or expand your business with expert guidance from the Business Development Center. Entrepreneurs and those who aspire to start their own businesses are invited to attend a "nuts and bolts" information session about the center's Entrepreneurial Assistance Program on October 1, 2008 at 6 pm in Brower Hall, Room 203, South Campus.Information session attendees will hear first-hand from an EAP graduate who started and successfully developed a thriving business. Guests will also have the opportunity to speak with Judith Tyne, director and assistant dean, about the workshops and assistance available to foster their success.
Since February 1991, the EAP has helped more than 1,000 entrepreneurs launch and expand their businesses through one-on-one counseling with business owners and workshops ranging from market research to financial management. The next 60-hour program will be offered from October 13-December 17, 2008 on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-9 pm for a fee of $495 (installments available), which includes a manual and all materials. Clients gain the training needed for business development and the skills to complete a business plan. An Entrepreneurship Certificate is earned upon completion of requirements.
