HOFSTRA CELEBRATES HOMECOMING "PASSPORT TO THE WORLD," SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2007
Special Events Also Include Alumni Awards Dinner (October 4) And a Special Production of Tony n' Tina's Wedding (October 5)
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY: Come to the Hofstra University campus to enjoy the spirit and all the events of Homecoming on Saturday, October 6, 2007. The day begins with the Parade of Floats at 11 a.m. and includes the Football game against the University of Maine at 1:30 p.m. as well as a post-game party from 4 to 6 p.m.

Alumni Awards Dinner honoring:
- Alumnus of the Year: James E. Quinn '74
- Award for Alumni Achievement recipients: James A. D'Addario '72; Mitchell M. Gans '71, '74; Debra Sandler '82; Thomas J. Sanzone '82;
- Young Alumnus Award recipients: Thomas J. Basile '97 and Paul R. Manson '97
- Honorary Alumna: Maureen O. Murphy, Ph.D. The event will be held at the Garden City Hotel.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5
Tony n' Tina's Wedding will relocate from New York City to Hofstra University for a one-night, special benefit performance honoring John Kominicki, president and publisher of Long Island Business News. The performance will be held Friday, October 5, 2007, at 7 pm at the Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center.
This performance raises much-needed funds for scholarships at Hofstra. Join the happy couple as they tie the knot. Then on to the reception, featuring dinner and dancing. It's a fun time for everyone. At Tony n' Tina's Wedding, you're not just a member of the audience - you're part of the family!
Tony n' Tina's Wedding was originally produced in New York City by Joe Corcoran '82 and Dan Corcoran. After working on Wall Street in a number of capacities, Joe Corcoran joined a number of fellow Hofstra alumni to become part of what would be Tony n' Tina's Wedding. Liz Smith called the show, which was conceived on the Hofstra campus, "one of the most imaginative and successful hits in off-Broadway history."

11 a.m. Homecoming Parade of Floats begins on Hofstra's North Campus. Show your Hofstra pride and enjoy the parade of floats celebrating this year's theme, "Passport to the World."
11:30 a.m. Student Skits, South Campus, adjacent to James M. Shuart Stadium.Watch students perform skits celebrating the day's theme, "Passport to the World," a fun viewing for the entire family.
11: 30 a.m. Tent Party and Tailgating Tent adjacent to James M. Shuart Stadium. Enjoy world foods, fun and games, spirited tailgating and music!1 p.m.
Pregame Show; 1:30 p.m. Football Game at James M. Shuart Stadium. Cheer on the Pride at this year's Homecoming football game vs. University of Maine. Stay for half-time to watch the annual crowning of the King and Queen. For more information or tickets call (516) 463-TIXX (8499).
4 to 6 p.m. Post-Game Party. Alumni Pride Tent, adjacent to James M. Shuart Stadium. Enjoy music, food and refreshments! Site of the All-Greek Reunion.
