Hofstra Students to Gather Tonight for Presidential Debate Watch and Panel Discussion
Diana Carlin, founder of DebateWatch, will lead panel discussion and explain how to interpret debate
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY –What: Hofstra students and faculty will gather to watch the first presidential debate of 2008 at the University of Mississippi.
When: Friday, September 26, 2008. Panel discussion begins at 8 p.m. followed by the presidential debate at 9 p.m.
Who: Diana Carlin, founder of DebateWatch and co-author of forthcoming book, "The Third Agenda in U.S. Presidential Debates: DebateWatch and Viewer Reactions, 1996-2004," will lead a discussion on what to expect during the debate and how to interpret the candidate responses.
Where: Student Center Theatre, Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center, North Campus.
Why: To educate students on how to analyze a debate and encourage them to become involved citizens.
This event is free and open to the public.
