Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Hofstra alum and Executive Producer of Everybody Loves Raymond, Phil Rosenthal, is back at Hofstra to talk about his new book: “You’re Lucky You’re Funny: How Life Becomes a Sitcom.”  He will be joined by Everybody Loves Raymond co-star, actor, Tom McGowan.

On Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 4:30pm, in room 246 of the Business Development Center, Phil will be signing copies of and reading from his new book.  He will also be answering questions about his intriguing life and career.

Last October, Phil and his wife Monica Horan (“Amy” on Everybody Loves Raymond) hosted a live performance of Everybody Loves Raymond: Inside the Writers Room at the John Cranford Adams Playhouse.  Both Phil (B.F.A ’81) and Monica (B.F.A. ’84) are graduates of Hofstra University.  In 2005 Phil was given the Alumnus of the Year award by Hofstra University and the Alumni Organization in recognition of his exemplary career achievement and distinguished service to the University.
