Hofstra Entertainment presents "Showtune"

January 11 to 27, 2008, Celebrating the Words and Music of Jerry Herman; Monroe Lecture Center Theater

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY … Hofstra Entertainment at Hofstra University will present the musical Showtune at Monroe Lecture Center Theater, January 11 to 27, 2008. Showtune is a tribute to Jerry Herman, the musical genius behind Hello, Dolly!, Mame, Milk and Honey, La Cage Aux Folles and Mack & Mabel. The performance will feature many hits from Herman's classic scores as well as some of his lesser-known songs.

Show times are 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $25, $23 for senior citizens (over 65), $15 for matriculated non-Hofstra students with ID, and $10 for children under 12. Members of the Hofstra community may purchase up to two tickets for $10 each upon presentation of a current HofstraCard.
