Hofstra University Presents "Does Conservatism Have a Future?" Featuring Ross Douthat, Op-Ed and Online Columnist for "The New York Times"

Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY … Ross Douthat, the youngest regular op-ed writer in the history of The New York Times, will speak at Hofstra University on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 3 p.m. in a program titled “Does Conservatism Have a Future?”
This lecture, part of Hofstra’s Define ’09 initiative, will take place at Monroe Lecture Center Theater, California Avenue, South Campus. Douthat joined The New York Times in April 2009 as an op-ed and online columnist. Previously he wrote a popular blog and was a senior editor for The Atlantic. He is the author of Privilege: Harvard and the Education of the Ruling Class (Hyperion, 2005) and the co-author, with Reihan Salam, of Grand New Party: How Republicans Can Win the Working Class and Save the American Dream (Doubleday, 2008).
