Mardival

Saturday, February 4, 2012, 6:30-9 p.m.
David S. Mack Physical Education Center, North Campus

Tourists travel to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and to the Caribbean and Rio de Janeiro for Carnival. Many people don’t know that Mardi Gras and Carnival are the same event – just celebrated differently in different cultures. Join us as we bring a taste of both to Hofstra!

Highlights of the evening include the mixing skills of Power 105.1’s DJ Norie, hosted by our mistress of ceremonies Olivia from Vh1’s Love and Hip Hop, with performances by Hofstra’s Imani Dance Ensemble, The Sugar Tone Brass Band, and Fat Joe, as well as tarot card and palm readers. Don’t forget to dress in traditional Mardi Gras and Carnival costumes, and bring your country flags!
