Summer Programs
Summer Session at Hofstra University School of Law
Study Abroad: International and Comparative Law Summer Programs
Hofstra Law School's summer study abroad programs are designed to introduce American and foreign law students to a broad array of transnational legal issues, and to provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary to practice law in the new global economy. Students who attend these programs gain a rich understanding of foreign legal institutions, and of the cultural dimensions of lawyering in a global environment.
Nice, FranceDates: June 24 to July 19, 2007
Overview: Now in its 15th consecutive year, the Nice Program regularly enrolls law students from across the United States, and from around the world. This year's program will feature guest lectures by two renowned figures in international law, Judge Claude Jorda of the International Criminal Court, and Judge Fausto Pocar, President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. Students spend a month in the beautiful French Riviera, while participating in stimulating courses and extracurricular events, including a day in the French court, a brown-bag lunch series, and a welcoming reception at the Hotel Westminster, overlooking the Mediterranean sea.
