Welcome/Move-In Day
We welcome first-year students, Class of 2017, transfer students, and you, their families, on Thursday, August 29, 2013. This is the start of Welcome Week for residential and commuting first-year and transfer students. For more information about the Welcome Week Program for STUDENTS, visit www.hofstra.edu/welcomeweek. Parents, please follow the Welcome Day Program below. Your residential student's move-in time is being mailed to you during the summer, in the room-assignment letter. Commuting students check in at noon.
When driving to campus to register for Welcome Week, please enter through the main gate to north campus (coming from Meadowbrook Parkway on Hempstead Turnpike west, make right at the third light, just before the second foot-bridge over Hempstead Turnpike). Then, follow the signs to the Welcome Week Check-In Tent on the Intramural Fields. After your residential student receives Welcome Week materials, and you your parent packet, you will drive to your student's residence hall. You may register for Hofstra Fall Festival - Family Weekend under the parent tent. Don't miss President's Welcome at 2:45 p.m.!
Both commuting and residential families are cordially invited to attend the parent and family program:
