Spring Family Day: Saturday, April 28, 2012

[updated April 26, 2012]

See our famous tulips and campus in full bloom! Did you know that a beautiful ivory-white tulip was named "Hofstra University Tulip"? On October 3, 1985, Dr. Cornelius Boertien, commissioner for the Queen of the Netherlands to the Province of Zeeland, formally designated and presented to Hofstra the first bulbs of this flower hybrid named for the University.
You will be able to see thousands of different kinds of tulips during Spring Family Day, Saturday, April 28, 2012. In addition to the Arboretum Tour by Director of the Grounds Fred Soviero, events include Academic and Career Planning session with Advisement Dean Mongillo and Executive Director of The Career Center Fred Burke,  Spring Dance Concert by the students of the Department of Drama and Dance, and a lunch with other parents and families. During the lunch, Prof. Neil Donahue and Hofstra undegraduates will present poster session about their research and you will be able to meet your Parent Council members. You are also invited to join one of Hofstra's Relay for Life teams in the evening.
Online registration is closed at this time. If you are paying on the day of the event, we are accepting only checks or money orders. The fee is $10 per guest; Hofstra students are free. Please consult the SPRING FAMILY DAY PROGRAM for times and venues.
