Discovery Fee Reduction Program

The 2013 Discovery Program fee reduction program is supported by the fundraising efforts of the Hofstra Parent Council. Students with financial hardship may apply for consideration. Fee reduction may range from $50 to $500, and is based on financial need and available funds.

If you would like to be considered please submit a 500-word essay explaining why you would like to participate in the Discovery Program and indicating your financial hardship. Please be sure to identify all outside and Hofstra scholarships or grants already secured and included in your financial aid package. A completed FAFSA must be on file with the Financial Aid Office.

To apply for the fee reduction program, please email your essay to Ashley Gray, Assistant Director of Student Leadership and Activities. In addition to submitting your essay, you MUST also fill out the online application.

No essays for the fee reduction program will be considered after Friday, July 19, 2013. Applicants will be notified of the status of their request by July 29, 2013.
