Winter Welcome

Winter Welcome is a day of events that is designed to introduce you to the Hofstra campus, the rigor of academic life, our rich culture and traditions, on-campus resources, and the exciting diversity of Hofstra and the community around us.  You will have the opportunity to participate in social activities, athletics events, and trips to New York City.  Get ready to become a member of the Hofstra community.

Winter Welcome is Friday, January 25, 2013. Students living on campus will move in on Thursday, January 24, 2013.  There will also be optional off-campus events (a trip to see Chicago on Broadway and a service project, planned for Saturday, January 26, 2013).

You will receive an email confirmation sent to your Hofstra email address with in two business days with details on check-in times and location.

OUR VIRTUAL FOLDER

During Orientation, new students receive a lot of information about on-campus resources at various sessions. Sometimes the volume of information can be overwhelming. We have compiled information about these resources in our virtual folder. With the virtual orientation folder you will be able to peruse the available programs at your leisure, on your computer. Additionally, the virtual folder is part of Hofstra’s Yellow and Blue make Green environmental initiative as it reduces the amount of paper products distributed during at programs.

Cultural Resources

Thank you for choosing Hofstra and let you know about some of the cultural resources available to you here on campus. We also wanted to remind you about the importance of getting involved in your own culture here on campus and within the cultures of your classmates.
