In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hofstra University’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business, we invited business school leaders, faculty members and members of the business community to a symposium on the state of business education.

The symposium explored the future of business education.  The last 50 years have been a time of great change: assurance of learning provides a clear look at the outcomes of business education; experiential learning enhances the "hands on" aspect of business education; technology has broadened the delivery of education; and analytics allows for a much more sophisticated analysis of the past and present to more accurately prepare for the future.  In addition, our workforce is much more diverse and business is clearly more global than ever before.

Looking ahead for the next 50 years, what will business education here and elsewhere look like? And, how can we provide the most meaningful experience for our students, all in a world of greater uncertainty where the pace of change has continuously speeded up? The 50th Anniversary Symposium provided a thought provoking discussion of potential future progress to meet the needs of our students in an ever more competitive environment.
