Description: The Fred DeMatteis School of Engineering and Applied Science at Hofstra University invites applications for an anticipated tenure-track opening at the assistant/associate professor level in electrical engineering. Applicants should have an earned PhD in electrical engineering or a closely related field. Preferred candidates will have expertise in power systems, renewable energy, or similar fields. The start date for this position is September 1, 2022.

The engineering programs at Hofstra are experiencing rapid growth, and the successful applicant will contribute to the further development of a top tier undergraduate educational enterprise. Hence, candidates must be effective communicators with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, be able to initiate sustained research, especially of a type that can involve advanced undergraduates, and show initiative in seeking external funding for research.
