    Barcelona, Paris, and Amsterdam
    May 22 - June 4, 2016

    Hofstra University Honors College is offering a two-week honors seminar which will travel between Barcelona, Paris, and Amsterdam on May 22-June 4, 2016. Students will enroll in a 3 credit class called Collaborating Across Cultures taught by Dr. Kara Alaimo, which will focus on how to communicate and do business in cultures around the world.

    The class will visit local attractions such as:

    • Local businesses and communication agencies in Barcelona, Paris, and Amsterdam
    • The Picasso Museum, La Rambla street, La Sagrada Familia church, Tibidabo, Park Güell (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Eixample (Paseo de Gracia façades), Plaza España, Montjuic, and the city center in Barcelona 
    • UNESCO, the Louvre, and a boat tour on the Seine in Paris
    • The Anne Frank house, Van Gogh museum, and a walking tour in Amsterdam

    Program Cost

    Students will book their own flights to Europe, pay Hofstra tuition for the 3 credit course, and pay a $3,375 program fee which covers accommodation, meals, travel between Barcelona-Paris and Paris-Amsterdam, visits to local attractions/activities, and insurance. Students will be provided with breakfast and dinner every day in Barcelona; two dinners in Paris; and breakfast every day and one dinner in Amsterdam.
