Treasury Operations, a department of the Office of Financial Affairs, oversees the University’s cash management and investment management activities to ensure proper stewardship of University assets.
Treasury Operations is responsible for overseeing the following key functions -
- Banking – the department oversees all University banking relationships to ensure proper controls and accounting practices. Areas of banking oversight include – account management, monitoring of cash flows, electronic funds transfer, payment card acceptance and reporting.
- Investments – the department oversees the day-to-day management and administration of all University investment funds, including the endowment. The department ensures proper controls, accounting practices and due diligence. Areas of investment oversight include – monitoring performance, activity, asset allocation, liquidity management, investment policy compliance and reporting. The University is assisted in its oversight by an independent investment advisor.
