  • eTIME Training Tools

Enterprise eTIME is a time and labor management system where staff enter work and non-work (e.g., vacation, sick, personal days, etc.) time.  This eliminates the need for paper time cards, reduces the risk for errors, and gives staff a "real time" view of their vacation, personal and sick time balances.

We have a number of training tools available to assist staff and managers with eTIME.  Please click on each tool below to access. (You will be required to log into the MyHofstra portal to access these tools.)

E-time Training Tools – For Administrators

E-time Training Tools – For Staff (Union Employees)

E-time Training Tools – For Managers

    E-time Training Tools – For Part-Time Employees (Non-Union Employees)

  • EEO Compliance Training

Hofstra University is committed to creating a safe community that embraces diversity and is free from harassment and discrimination.

Preventing Harassment, Discrimination and Sexual Assault at Hofstra
This seminar, mandatory for all employees, focuses on defining harassment under state and federal law and briefing employees on Hofstra University’s Harassment Policy, student policies relating to Discriminatory Harassment, Relationship Violence and Sexual Misconduct and other related equal opportunity policies at Hofstra.  We will distinguish the types of conduct that constitute harassment under the law and Hofstra’s policies, and will discuss ways to prevent those situations proactively.  We will also review the complaint process contained in Hofstra’s Harassment Policy and student policy and provide tools to deal with potential harassment in the workplace/educational environment.

    Selection and Hiring
This seminar is for university administrators and discusses the selection and hiring process at Hofstra University.  The creation, advertising, and filling of university positions are covered.  In addition the processes of verifying employment and conducting background and reference checks are reviewed. This session incorporates Equal Employment Opportunity laws prohibiting discrimination, along with their impact on the entire employment process and administrators’ job responsibilities.  CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) awareness is also covered, as relates to attendance, vacation, personal days and sick leave, overtime, promotions, transfers and work performance.
