Description: Hofstra University’s Office of Undergraduate Admission seeks an assistant director for campus visit. This position reports to the associate director of campus visit. The primary responsibilities of the assistant director for campus visit are to plan and execute all recruitment events. Prior to all events, receives or makes recommendations on program content and organization; oversees event program and development (e.g., recruit or facilitate coordination and briefing of speakers/presenters, develop program agendas, determine order of speakers, etc.) Responds to event-related correspondence, email and phone inquiries. Markets and publicizes events through print and multimedia communications. Plans, tracks and controls expenses.

Evening and weekend hours will be required in support of special projects and events. Other duties as assigned. Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference, and the NCAA.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding communicator with excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Suite. A working knowledge of Target X or Salesforce is helpful. This individual will deal with a wide variety of constituents, including faculty, administrators, alumni, vendors, current students, prospective students and their families. The candidate must have a professional demeanor and excellent relational skills. Event planning and management experience preferred.
